Hartford County resident Ryan Carey, of Bristol, won the top prize playing a “$100,000 50th Anniversary” scratch-off lottery ticket to earn one of three jackpot-winning prizes.

The winning ticket was sold at My Store LLC on Farmington Avenue in Bristol and cashed in on Monday, March 21, according to CT Lottery officials. It was the first of three $100,000 top prizes to be cashed in.

According to CT Lottery, the $10 scratch-off game includes the following prizes for players:

  • $100,000: 3 total prizes (2 remaining);
  • $25,000: 4 total prizes (4 remaining);
  • $25,000: 25 total prizes (21 remaining);
  • $5,000: 30 total prizes (25 remaining);
  • $500: 646 total prizes (535 remaining);
  • $100: 4,882 total prizes (4,120 remaining);
  • $50: 62,814 total prizes (52,925 remaining);
  • $30: 62,870 total prizes (53,066 remaining);
  • $20: 94,298 total prizes (79,678 remaining);
  • $15: 62,842 total prizes (53,211 remaining);
  • $10: 157,091 total prizes (133,105 remaining).

According to CT Lottery, “when a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.”
